A Rainy, Rainy Day

Today is a very gloomy and rainy day. That is not to say that we do not need the rain desperately.

Hi There Knitting Chicks, One sleeve of my Shrug is completed, though I have not bound it off yet and I have completed more than half of the other. I received my Snowflake yarn yesterday, but have not opened it yet. I have so much yarn to wind into balls. That alone will take hours.

Thank goodness I have all of the tools I need. Just wish I had help or a buddy to sit with me and help. My knitting friend is going to Richmond for a couple of weeks while her floors are refinished. But when the shrug is completed, before I can knit anything else, I must ball yarn. I also want to thank everyone for all of the pattern links.

I really want to knit a pair of socks. My first pair. Sort-of nervous about it. Any one have any hints or suggestions? I printed several patterns from the Web while waiting for a book to come in the mail.

Well, I am going now and knit., after I take a nap that is.
